Safety first

If it's burning, sparking or hot

These are not waiting-for-the-morning calls. We don't run a night line, so do this first.

  • Fire or smoke

Call 911. Get everyone out. Call us after.

  • Burning smell or sparks

If it is safe, turn off the breaker for that circuit and stay away from it. Call us when the office opens.

  • A hot or scorched panel or outlet

If it is safe, turn off the breaker. Don't touch it again, and call us when the office opens.

  • Water near wiring, or a shock

Stay clear. If someone was shocked, call 911. Then call us.

Heard at the walk-through

“He put shoe covers on at the door and showed me the old outlet before it went in the bag. The ticket matched the price he gave me. I never had to ask what anything cost.”

Pooja S.Delmar · a bathroom GFCI and two dead outlets

“Three ceiling fans in one afternoon. The electrician vacuumed the drywall dust and showed me how the remote pairs. There was nothing on the final ticket I hadn't seen before.”
